So, I turned 23 here in Ecuador last week. Milestone? haha Not the year 23 but the location in which I celebrated my birthday is pretty special to me.
I will forever and always remember my 23rd birthday:
- I will remember the awkward surprise party that meant so much to me.
- I will remember getting my face smashed in the most yummy chocolate cake ever.
- I will remember a night of italian food and of course the cute italian waiter.
- I will remember the sweet gifts I got from my students and other faculty.
- MOST importantly though I will remember the people I celebrated with my friends and more importantly my Mom and Dad. Yes, they came to visit and I can honestly say the best birthday present is to have your parents visit you in a foreign country!
Yep, this blog is a tribute to them and their time here in Ecuador. Check out all the pictures to see first hand the fun times we enjoyed together in the place I now call home.
I wil admit that last part is crazy, crazy, crazy. Me, of all people, calling Ecuador my home? But you heard right. It is and to share this home with people I love is awesome.
